'Enjoy the View' received first place honors in the Greater Greenville Master Garden Association 2020-2021 competition! Jennifer's 12x16 rendition of idyllic Falls Park will be used as the cover art for banners, brochures, flyers and virtual marketing materials.

A gift to brave firefighters of Polk County Fire and Rescue who are still mourning the loss of Chief Geoffrey Tennant who served the county and its citizens for 53 years. Thank you to all firefighters for all you do!

"Headed Somewhere Special" was named Best of Show, 1st Place at the 2019 Greer Juried Arts Exhibition! Mayor Rick Danner announced the winners and made presentations at a reception at City Hall. Danner has been a force behind Greer's progression as it moves forward with a major downtown facelift.

The Arts Council of Henderson County will hold an Open House on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. At 3:30pm a special presentation will be held to recognize the third Betty Taylor Memorial Fund award winner, artist Jennifer Mills Grabosky. Administered by the Arts Council of Henderson County, the Taylor Award is designed to promote emerging artists in need of financial support and studying in the field of visual arts and crafts.

This extremely generous award offers me the opportunity to take a huge step forward as a new artist working under the tutelage of some of the country’s finest talent. The Betty Taylor Memorial Fund Award is a grant award program, the purpose of which is to promote one North Carolina emerging artist and their study in the field of visual arts and crafts.
"I am floored and humbled," says Mills. "To be recognized by this prestigious group is an honor and greatly motivates me to continue studying and learning."

Wine and Design at Thornblade Country Club was a colorful affair!
Jennifer named recipient of 2018 Regional Artist Project Grant (RAPG). The award provides "financial support to committed, gifted, individual artists to pursue projects that further their professional development. RAPGs are funded by a grant from the North Carolina Arts Council that is matched by the three participating counties: Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania."

The World Equestrian Games is the pinnacle of equestrian events in the world... and possibly the largest sporting event ever held in North Carolina. Over 500,000 people are attending or competing at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. Jennifer's paintings can be seen featured at Vendor Village at the Wrinkled Egg. Come visit us!
"Sunset Stare" was juried into an exciting show which opens this Saturday! Jennifer's 18x24 oil painting, framed in local barn wood, made the cut and will be featured in "For the Love of Horses," a regional show at Tryon Painters and Sculptors Gallery held in conjunction with the World Equestrian Games. Opening reception is Saturday, September 15 at TPS in Tryon, NC from 5 to 7 PM.
The Laurel Magazine of Asheville features Jennifer in its September edition in an article entitled 'On A Personal Note.' Named 'Best Free Publication' for the 8th year running at the Western North Carolina X Awards, The Laurel is your source for information about arts and culture in the Western Carolinas. Check it out!
All equestrian eyes are on the Western Carolinas with the FEI World Equestrian games approaching, to be held this year at Tryon International Equestrian Center. Jennifer's work will be showcased at the Wrinkled Egg's booth in Vendor Village. Check it out!

'Freedom Blast' took 2nd at the 10th anniversary of the annual summer festival in Greer, SC, which honors veterans as well as those currenly serving in the armed forces.
21 "artists in training" enjoyed a colorful day at FENCE Art Camp at the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center. Jennifer worked with kids ages 5 thru 12 painting barns, flowers... even a dump truck!

Big doings this Friday night in Landrum, SC.... "Local Social" time! The town will be alive with music, food, art and festivities. I've been invited as the guest artist at Pea Ridge Vintiques which is located in The Collective just across from The Hare and Hound Restaurant. Mark your calendar and come on out June 1!
VisitGreenvilleSC held its annual "state of the union" soiree Thursday night in their very chic office building in downtown Greenville, SC. Talk about impressive! Not just the party, but the tourism numbers. Food, art, hotels, leisure... Greenville outpaced most of the country.. and ALL of the southeast! As part of the campaign to find a cover shot for the official 2018 Visitor's Guide to Greenville, a contest was held inviting local artists to provide their rendition of Greenville. Mine was a finalist, but check out the winning shot by Aaron lngle who is a barber by day and artist by night! Beautiful!!

Greer Arts Council show is underway!
The city of Greer, S.C. invited Jennifer as its solo artist in an exhibition which runs May through June. The gallery is located at Greer City Hall, which anchors the newly renovated Greer City Park. Half of all proceeds will be donated to local cultural arts.

Pee Ridge Vintiques in Landrum, SC is now featuring Jennifer's works. Pee Ridge is an exciting new must-see antique store and gallery. Owner Cindy McKenzie is a chalk paint master who bills her shop as a place where "Vintage Meets Modern Decor." It's right next to the hugely popular Hare & Hound Restaurant in downtown Landrum which will be abuzz on Steeplechase day.
With the premier event just around the corner, it's a perfect time for a trip to Landrum and of course delightful Tryon, NC for a day of wandering and enjoying small town charm.

In October and November, Jennifer will be a featured Member Artist at Tryon Painters and Sculptors Gallery in Tryon, N.C. Her exhibit entitled, 'Locally Grown' will celebrate well-loved landmarks and pastimes of the Carolina foothills. Look for more on this show in The Laurel of Asheville's October edition!

This fall, Jennifer will be a featured artist at T D Gallery located at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce in Greenville, S.C. Over 25 works comprise 'Then and Now', a collection which highlights the cultural explosion in Greenville, S.C. from the early 1900s to present day. All works will be on sale. The show runs from September through November 1.
